AhlulBayt News Agency: At a ceremony commemorating the Martyrs of Service—including former President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions who lost their lives in a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan Province on May 19, 2024—President Masoud Pezeshkian delivered a strong message on Wednesday, condemning hypocrisy in global accusations.
“Those who have plundered nations are the ones accusing others of corruption. The same individuals responsible for acts of terrorism are quick to brand others as terrorists,” Pezeshkian stated.
According to President news website, he challenged those making such accusations to examine the modest lives of Iranian officials firsthand before passing judgment.
“If the enemies and the media engaged in false propaganda wish to assess these individuals, they should see their lives in reality instead of forming opinions from behind cameras and political podiums,” he asserted.
Pezeshkian also emphasized the sacrifices made by the Martyrs of Service, highlighting that they had the choice to pursue different paths but instead dedicated themselves to serving the people.
The commemoration, held at Iran’s Parliament, was attended by prominent figures, including President Pezeshkian, members of the Guardian Council, senior military officials, government representatives, and the families of the martyrs.
